  • Device and Usage Information: We may collect data regarding how you interact with our website, including IP addresses, browser types, and cookie data to improve your browsing experience.

Important Note: Modustech hardware drives operate locally. We do not access, collect, or store any personal data, files, or media stored on your physical Modustech storage drives.

We use the collected information to:

  • Process and fulfill your orders.

  • Provide customer support and manage warranty claims.

  • Send operational updates, such as order confirmations or technical notices.

  • Improve our products, services, and website functionality.

3. Data Protection and Sharing

We implement robust security measures to protect your personal data. Modustech does not sell your personal information to third parties. We only share data with trusted service providers (e.g., shipping carriers and payment processors) strictly necessary to complete your transactions or service requests.


Modustech Return and Warranty Policy

Modustech offers a straightforward, hassle-free warranty process. Our limited warranty is provided to the original purchaser of Modustech storage drives and warrants each product against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

For products purchased through offline dealers or third-party retail platforms, please refer to their specific after-sales policies.

Standard Warranty Period

The standard warranty period for Modustech storage drives is 24 Months from the date of purchase, unless specified otherwise on your official item invoice.


30-Day Money Back Guarantee

Undamaged products can be returned for a full refund, regardless of the reason, within 30 days of purchase.

  • Bulk Orders: Corporate purchases or bulk orders (defined as orders of 10 or more units of the same product) are not eligible for a refund under this 30-day guarantee.

Product Condition Requirements

  • Returns must include all original accessories and must be in their original packaging.

  • Products with visible wear, physical damage, signs of misuse, or free promotional gifts are not eligible for return.

  • Returns that do not meet these conditions may be rejected.

Shipping and Refund Terms

  • For non-quality-related returns, the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and must provide a valid return receipt.

  • For non-quality-related returns, Modustech only refunds the cost of the product itself.

  • For pre-order items, the 30-day return period begins on the shipping date, not the order date.


Return & Cancellation Process

Canceling an Order

You can cancel your order within one hour of placing it directly through your account. Orders that have already entered the shipping phase cannot be canceled. If you are unable to cancel within the window, please contact us at  support@modustech.com.

How Long Does It Take to Receive a Refund?

Refunds are issued once the returned item arrives at our warehouse and passes inspection. The refund will be credited to the original payment method used at checkout. Processing typically takes 3 to 5 business days.


Warranty Claims for Quality-Related Issues

All quality-related defects on items sold directly by Modustech are covered by our 24-month comprehensive warranty starting from the date of purchase.

  • Territory Limitation: Modustech’s limited warranty applies only in the country where the product was originally purchased. The warranty becomes void if the item is taken outside the country of purchase or shipped internationally from an authorized online order.

  • Replacement Policy: For valid quality-related claims, Modustech will provide a replacement drive (a factory-refurbished product of equal value when available, or a new item).

  • Replacement Warranty Duration: Replacement product warranties remain valid for the longer of the remaining original warranty period of the defective drive, or three months from the date of replacement.

How to Start a Claim

To initiate a warranty claim, please contact support@modustech.com with:

  1. Valid proof of purchase (Order number, sales invoice, or dated sales receipt).

  2. The serial number of the defective storage drive.

  3. Clear visual evidence (photos or videos) showing the defect.


Not Covered Under Warranty

  • Normal aging or wear from regular use (including cosmetic changes or gradual performance depreciation over time).

  • Products without valid proof of purchase or those past their warranty period.

  • Lost or stolen items.

  • Non-quality-related issues reported more than 30 days after purchase.

  • Damage resulting from misuse (including drops, exposure to extreme temperatures, liquid damage, or improper operation/formatting).

  • Repairs or modifications performed by unauthorized third parties.


Liability Limitations and Data Disclaimer

Modustech is not liable for any loss of data, corrupted files, or recovery costs resulting from the use or failure of Modustech storage products.

It is the sole responsibility of the user to maintain regular backups of all critical data. Modustech’s liability under any circumstances is strictly limited to, and will not exceed, the original purchase price of the hardware item.

  • Accidental Returns: Modustech is not responsible for personal items or unrelated hardware sent to our warehouses by mistake. Ensure your drive is wiped of critical data before returning it for physical inspection.

  • Transit Risk: If return items are shipped using a prepaid label provided by Modustech, we will cover any loss or damage during transit. For non-quality-related returns, the buyer assumes all responsibility for damage or loss during transit.
